JDA recommended building a physical ark, filling it with world-class exhibits, and surrounding it with zip lines, a zoo, and a restaurant. From this, Ark Encounter was born—a full-size Noah’s Ark built according to the dimensions recorded in the Bible. Since opening in 2017, Ark Encounter has become the most popular faith-based tourist destination in America, surpassing 1 million visitors in 2021.
